Overview

The Police Officer (Secret Service Police) position requires relocation to Washington, DC and includes a $75,000 recruitment incentive. Candidates will be part of a diverse team responsible for both investigative missions and protective duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C.
  • Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code.

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age between 21 and 40 (with exceptions)
  • Firearm proficiency
  • Visual acuity of 20/100 uncorrected and 20/20 corrected
  • Hearing capability without the use of hearing aids
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Completion of training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and specialized training
