Overview

The City of San Luis is seeking a Lateral Police Officer to join their law enforcement team. This role involves performing a range of duties including patrolling, traffic enforcement, and investigations, all aimed at maintaining order and ensuring community safety in one of Arizona's fastest-growing cities.

Key responsibilities

  • Enforce laws and ordinances and maintain public order.
  • Patrol assigned areas and respond to calls for assistance.
  • Conduct investigations of crimes and gather evidence.
  • Prepare detailed reports of incidents and activities.
  • Arrest and transport violators, ensuring the custody of evidence.
  • Engage in community crime prevention and educational programs.
  • Assist other law enforcement agencies as needed.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of law enforcement methods and procedures.
  • Investigation and evidence collection skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain physical fitness and perform defensive tactics.
