Overview

Preferred Podiatry Group is seeking a part-time Podiatric Medicine Physician Assistant in Nashville, TN, to provide patient-centered podiatric care in skilled nursing facilities and other long-term care settings. This role emphasizes flexible scheduling and professional autonomy while positively impacting patients' mobility and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat conditions affecting the foot and lower extremities
  • Provide diabetic foot care and preventive wound management
  • Educate patients and caregivers on foot health and mobility preservation
  • Collaborate with nursing facility staff to coordinate patient-centered care
  • Participate in Medicare quality programs to ensure best-in-class outcomes
  • Document clinical encounters using NextGen EMR on a company-issued iPad

Required skills

  • Master's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active state licensure as Physician Assistant or eligibility to obtain license
  • Experience in the podiatry space strongly preferred
  • Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Clinical experience in podiatry post-PA training strongly preferred
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Ability to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds
