Overview

Preferred Podiatry Group is seeking a Part-Time Podiatric Medicine Physician to provide compassionate care in long-term care, nursing homes, skilled nursing, and senior living communities. The role includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating foot and lower limb conditions while collaborating with facility staff for optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide podiatric care to residents in long-term and senior care facilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and lower limb conditions
  • Deliver preventive care for high-risk patients, including diabetic foot management
  • Educate patients and caregivers on mobility and foot health
  • Collaborate with facility staff for patient-centered outcomes
  • Participate in Medicare quality programs to ensure top-tier care
  • Document clinical encounters in NextGen EMR

Required skills

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in long-term care/nursing home settings (preferred)
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, independent settings
  • Able to lift/carry up to 15 lbs. as needed
