Overview

The Plumber Apprentice 3rd position at Silent-Aire, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, involves assisting Journeyperson Plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing and heating systems in a manufacturing environment. This role is essential within a fast-growing company focused on innovative cooling and data center solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Journeyperson Plumbers with plumbing and heating installation and maintenance
  • Braise/solder copper pipe and work with PVC pipe
  • Use hand and power tools for plumbing tasks
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Follow safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Manage work assignments and meet established deadlines
  • Perform other duties as required

Required skills

  • Registered as a Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta
  • Enrolled in a recognized trade school
  • Experience with routine electrical maintenance is an asset
  • Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexibility and interpersonal skills to work in a diverse environment
