Overview

Central Semiconductor LLC is seeking a Plating Technician to join their manufacturing team in Hauppauge, NY. The role involves applying metal coatings to substrates through electroplating processes, ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate electroplating equipment according to specifications
  • Prepare surfaces for plating by cleaning, polishing, and masking as required
  • Monitor plating processes, adjusting parameters to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Conduct inspections of plated parts for quality assurance, identifying defects and inconsistencies
  • Maintain proper chemical balances and perform regular maintenance on plating baths
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with team members and provide support in troubleshooting issues

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in electroplating or a related field
  • Previous experience in electroplating, metal finishing, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of electroplating processes and related chemistry
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
