Overview

Central Semiconductor LLC is seeking a Plating Technician to join their manufacturing team in Hauppauge, New York. The role involves applying metal coatings through electroplating processes while ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and operate electroplating equipment according to specifications
  • Prepare surfaces for plating by cleaning, polishing, and masking
  • Monitor plating processes and adjust parameters for quality and efficiency
  • Conduct inspections of plated parts for quality assurance
  • Maintain proper chemical balances and perform regular maintenance on plating baths
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with team members and provide support in troubleshooting issues

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in electroplating or a related field
  • Previous experience in electroplating, metal finishing, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of electroplating processes and related chemistry
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
