Job Description

Overview

The Plastics Manufacturing Production Supervisor will oversee team members on the 2nd shift at Metalcraft of Mayville, responsible for planning, coordinating, training, and motivating employees to deliver high-quality products. This role emphasizes process improvement to ensure production efficiency and safety for all staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain understanding of machines and troubleshoot problems
  • Ensure clean and orderly work area while following safety regulations
  • Collaborate with Plant Manager and Shift Supervisors to meet production goals
  • Assemble and dismantle molds as a team
  • Conduct mold changes using overhead cranes and rigging
  • Drive process improvements based on feedback from product inspections
  • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain 6S requirements
  • Document actions and maintain continuity among work shifts
  • Utilize computer programs for employee record-keeping
  • Complete production and quality logs
