Overview

The Plant Supervisor-Electrical Maintenance at PacifiCorp is responsible for leading the maintenance operations within a plant, ensuring a safe working environment, and managing a team to achieve business objectives. This role involves overseeing the daily activities of the maintenance staff, implementing company policies, and managing costs associated with plant operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and manage the work of the electrical maintenance group
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the working environment
  • Oversee daily maintenance activities according to company policies
  • Implement business objectives and monitor costs
  • Lead project management responsibilities for plant outages and overhauls
  • Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments
  • Prepare Scope of Work documents for contractor work
  • Direct day-to-day activities of the functional team and provide guidance

Required skills

  • Journeyman electrician experience or bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of five years of electrical maintenance experience in a power plant or similar facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Computer skills for communication, planning, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Knowledge of power plant operations and systems
  • Familiarity with maintenance management and preventative maintenance systems
  • Experience with collective bargaining agreements
  • Technical problem-solving skills for electrical maintenance
