Overview

Plumstead Materials, a division of The H&K Group, is seeking a Night Shift Plant Operator to ensure efficient operation of plant equipment during the night. The role demands a motivated individual with experience and a commitment to safety and efficiency in the quarry operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Follow company start and stop procedures
  • Conduct daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens
  • Keep walkways clear of debris and report spillage issues
  • Perform daily guarding inspections and plant checks
  • Inspect screen media for condition to maximize production
  • Maintain cleanliness in the operating booth
  • Suggest changes for improved efficiency of operations
  • Assist workers in solving production problems when needed
  • Complete necessary daily paperwork

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work a night shift schedule
  • Capacity to meet physical requirements
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Loader operation experience
  • Experience in quarry or industrial settings
  • MSHA or relevant safety certification
