Overview

The H&K Group is seeking a motivated and organized Plant Operator for Chalfont Quarry in Pennsylvania. This full-time position involves supporting the smooth operation of plant equipment while adhering to safety policies. The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment and contribute to efficiency in quarry operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Follow company start and stop procedures
  • Conduct daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens
  • Maintain clear walkways and report spillage issues
  • Conduct daily inspections and report maintenance issues to superintendent
  • Inspect screen media for condition to optimize production
  • Keep the operating booth clean and free of inappropriate materials
  • Assist workers in solving production problems as needed
  • Complete necessary paperwork daily

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Safety-focused attitude
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical capability to meet job demands
  • 3+ months of related experience preferred
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and heavy equipment
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certifications
