Overview

The Plant Maintenance Supervisor at Wawa plays a crucial role in maintaining the Wawa Dairy campus, focusing on plant maintenance, facilities, and security. This position involves leading a team of union associates, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, troubleshooting operational bottlenecks, and implementing continuous improvement programs to enhance plant performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining the Wawa Dairy campus with a focus on plant maintenance and security.
  • Lead a team of union associates and enforce performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and develop equipment design solutions.
  • Direct maintenance activities and ensure compliance with quality and safety guidelines.
  • Manage the Maintenance Software Package (I-Maint) and spare parts inventory.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance schedules and work request prioritization.
  • Participate in CBA negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Provide training and safety leadership for associates and contractors.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of logistics automation and integrated controls
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with safety management and regulatory compliance
