Overview

Greenlight Professional Services is looking for an experienced Electrician II in Hoboken, NJ to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and safety of critical facility equipment while engaging in preventive maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical equipment
  • Diagnose electrical system issues and implement repair solutions
  • Maintain low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers, panel boards, and associated equipment
  • Support operation and maintenance of chillers, VFDs, generators, and UPS systems
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Inspect equipment for reliability and safety concerns
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience with power distribution equipment and facility electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with facility equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
