Overview

Four Square Industrial Constructors, LLC is seeking experienced Industrial/Plant Pipefitters for project-based assignments in Petersburg, VA. The role involves the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in industrial process facilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and weld pipes according to specifications
  • Assemble and install pipe systems, supports, valves, and fittings
  • Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing
  • Fit and install pipe hangers, supports, and structural attachments
  • Collaborate with welders and millwrights on installations
  • Inspect work for compliance with specifications and codes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of experience as an industrial or plant pipefitter
  • Proficiency in carbon and stainless steel piping fabrication
  • Knowledge of industrial piping systems and fitting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed piping drawings
  • Familiarity with safety practices, lockout/tagout, and confined space entry
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
