Overview

The Middlesex Corporation is a leader in the heavy civil construction industry, specializing in building and reconstructing infrastructure. The Pipefitter role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining various piping systems necessary for heating, cooling, and transporting materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with all Safety policies and procedures
  • Read blueprints and modify specifications as needed
  • Install and fit drainage, sewer, water, and associated piping
  • Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of piping systems
  • Handle, fit, cut, and weld pipes
  • Perform duties of other crafts as required

Required skills

  • 2-5 years of Heavy/Civil Construction experience
  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
