Overview

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced Pipe Laborer to join their Hazleton Division. This role primarily involves working on construction projects and performing various utility tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Acquire and manage tools for daily operations
  • Measure distances and set up grades using laser or conventional methods
  • Assist in aligning and adjusting construction equipment
  • Mix, smooth, and finish concrete
  • Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections
  • Prepare structures for installation
  • Perform pipe installation duties and maintenance

Required skills

  • One year of heavy highway construction experience
  • Experience in underground utilities (storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main)
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical stamina for lifting and movement requirements
