Overview

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Pipe Foreperson for its Maryland Division/HTI to plan and coordinate work on a pipe crew and direct activities of workers on various projects. Candidates will be responsible for training crew members, ensuring adherence to safety policies, and effectively communicating project goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate work for the pipe crew
  • Read blueprints and job-related documents
  • Record daily events in a job diary
  • Schedule materials, equipment, and work for the crew
  • Develop crew SIP's and submit to site foreperson
  • Conduct daily huddles to establish production goals
  • Communicate effectively with crew and customers
  • Mentor crew members to enhance their skills
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Perform all other duties of crew members as needed

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical skills including geometry and trigonometry
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work physically as required
