Overview

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a PICU Nurse Practitioner for a locum position in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role involves working night shifts in a pediatric critical care setting with an ongoing contract expected to last 3-6 months, beginning in December 2025.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a 34-bed pediatric critical care unit
  • Work 3 x 12 hour shifts per week from 7pm to 7am
  • Manage ventilator needs for pediatric patients
  • Participate in procedures as per the pending procedure list
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including 24/7 physician support

Required skills

  • Active RN and APNP license in the State of Oklahoma
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Experience with Emergency Medical Records (EMR), specifically EPIC
  • Ventilator Management expertise
  • Prescriptive authority within 6 months of hire
