Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for a full-time locum opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. The initial focus will be on call coverage with the potential to add clinic and operating room responsibilities as the position evolves.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide full-time locum coverage as a Plastic Surgeon
  • Initial call coverage with potential for clinic and OR responsibilities
  • Handle trauma calls and ER consults
  • Conduct in-office consultations and procedures
  • Collaborate on reconstructive cases with breast surgeons
  • Provide soft tissue and EMTALA call coverage
  • Maintain inpatient responsibilities at multiple hospital locations

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Plastic Surgery
  • Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
  • Experience in healthcare and clinical consultation
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR
  • Clean malpractice and background history
