Job Description

Overview

Britt Medical Search is seeking a psychiatrist to join an existing group in the expansion of a new inpatient facility in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The facility will include adolescent, adult, and geropsychiatry units, and services provided include inpatient and outpatient care for a general adult population.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat a general adult population
  • Manage an anticipated patient load of 18-20 patients per day
  • Participate in weekday and weekend call (estimated 1:8 weekend call)
  • Round on inpatient units and see psychiatry consults in the Medical Center
  • Engage in teaching for medical residents, students, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and social work interns
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary opioid narcotic recovery program

Required skills

  • Experience in inpatient psychiatry
  • Familiarity with outpatient services
  • Consultation liaison experience
  • Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program
  • Suboxone certification preferred but not required
