Overview

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role involves providing on-site psychiatric care for VA beneficiaries in inpatient settings, adhering to a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans
  • Manage direct patient care, estimating 90% of responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Mental Health staff for inpatient duties
  • Admit and diagnose patients
  • Develop treatment plans and manage patient treatments
  • Handle discharge and transfer medical record documentation

Required skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist
  • Valid medical license in any U.S. state
  • Current and unrestricted DEA license
  • BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
