Overview

Parkview Health is seeking a full-time Board Eligible / Board Certified Palliative Care physician to join their Palliative Oncology team at the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role focuses on providing a multidisciplinary approach to palliative care for cancer patients, emphasizing proactive symptom management and quality of life throughout the cancer journey.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a multidisciplinary approach to palliative care in oncology
  • Manage symptoms and improve quality of life for cancer patients
  • Collaborate with Tumor Site Teams and support services
  • Participate in call rotation with a frequency of 1:3
  • Utilize EPIC EMR System for patient management

Required skills

  • Board Eligible / Board Certified in Palliative Care
  • Completion of a palliative care fellowship preferred
  • Training in internal medicine or dual palliative oncology and medical oncology considered
  • Experience in patient management and clinical care
  • Knowledge of symptom management and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
