Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for a hospitalist opportunity in Texas, offering 24-hour in-house call coverage in a collaborative environment. The role involves managing obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, providing care to unassigned patients, and working alongside Certified Nurse Midwives in the OB Emergency Department.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
  • Provide care for unassigned OB/GYN patients
  • Cover the Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED)
  • Serve as surgical first assist when required
  • Respond to emergent labor and delivery situations
  • Perform Cesarean sections and other urgent OB/GYN procedures

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Active Texas Medical License
  • Active DEA Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience performing vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
  • Comfortable managing OB/GYN emergencies independently
