Job Description

Overview

Britt Medical Search is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible physician in Internal Medicine, IM/Ped, or Family Medicine to join their Hospitalist team in Sedalia, Missouri. The position involves working in a supportive environment with two physician coverage per day on a 7-on/7-off shift schedule, offering a balanced work/life dynamic.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in the hospital setting
  • Manage an average census of 15-16 patients per physician
  • Coordinate with advance practice providers during night shifts
  • Respond to admissions and patient needs in a timely manner
  • Participate in rounds and manage patient coverage by phone as necessary
  • Seek privileges for procedures if desired
  • Engage in teaching with the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine

Required skills

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine, IM/Ped, or Family Medicine
  • Experience with hospitalist practices
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Meditech 6.1
  • Ability to respond within 30 minutes at night
