Overview

Britt Medical Search is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible physician in Internal Medicine, IM/Ped, or Family Medicine to join their Hospitalist team in Sedalia, Missouri. The position offers a structured schedule of 7-on/7-off shifts, with responsibilities including managing patient admissions and collaborating with a team of advanced practice providers.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage an average census of 15-16 patients per physician.
  • Participate in a 2 physician coverage model with shared night shift responsibilities.
  • Respond to night admissions and assist with patient care as needed.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (Meditech 6.1) for patient documentation.
  • Coordinate care with specialists for procedures and manage patient treatments.

Required skills

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine, IM/Ped, or Family Medicine.
  • Experience in acute care and family medicine.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Strong patient care and emergency response skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a healthcare team.
