Overview

Britt Medical Search is seeking a BE/BC Geriatrician to join an established practice in Urbana, Illinois. This role involves working alongside a team of Geriatricians and APPs in both nursing home coverage and an ambulatory clinic setting, with a focus on providing long-term care and ensuring quality service to patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Cover nursing home patients and manage ambulatory clinic cases
  • Work Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, hospitalists, and dedicated geriatric hospitalist
  • Provide services in sub-acute, rehabilitation, and short-stay environments
  • On-call duties for nursing home patients during the week and for geriatric service call every 1 in 12 days
  • Opportunity to engage in academic and research activities
  • Potential for Medical Directorship at nursing homes with additional stipend

Required skills

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine
  • Experience in outpatient care and nursing home care
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
  • Strong clinical and patient care abilities
  • Healthcare management and clinical research experience
