Overview

Adelphi Staffing, LLC is seeking a locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physician to work in Macon, Georgia. The role involves providing emergency medical care in a busy facility that manages approximately 110 patients daily, with support from various medical staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical evaluation and treatment for patients across all acuity levels in a 30-bed ED
  • Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants during their shifts
  • Utilize Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX for documentation and order entry
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and specialist consultations as needed
  • Maintain accurate clinical activity logs and fulfill CME requirements (20 hrs/year)

Required skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license
  • Active DEA with Georgia address
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS (unless ABEM certified)
  • Experience from ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
  • Recent clinical activity with case logs for the past 2 years
  • TB and Flu immunizations
  • CME 20 hours per year with a 2-year summary
  • NPPA supervision required
