Overview

This position is for a Pediatric Critical Care Physician in South Carolina, offering locum tenens coverage in an ICU setting. The role involves managing complex medical and surgical pediatric patients during weekend shifts, focusing on various critical conditions and procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric critical care coverage in an ICU
  • Manage complex medical and surgical pediatric patients
  • Handle medical conditions including sepsis, renal failure, and poisoning
  • Perform surgical pre and post-operative management and traumatic injuries
  • Conduct ventilator management, chest tube insertion, and central/arterial line placements

Required skills

  • Board certified in Critical Care
  • Active South Carolina medical license
  • Active DEA registration in South Carolina
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Experience with Epic EMR and point of care ultrasound
