Overview

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves providing inpatient care with an emphasis on critical care for pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour on-campus call coverage on weekends
  • Round with 2-3 pediatric/ED residents and supervise overnight call
  • Manage medical conditions including cardiac/respiratory arrest, sepsis, renal failure, and poisoning
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients
  • Treat traumatic injuries such as blunt force/penetrating injuries, fractures, and dislocations

Required skills

  • Active SC License
  • Board Certified in Critical Care
  • DEA certification
  • PALS, ACLS, BLS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience post-training
  • Vent management
  • Chest tube insertion
  • Central & arterial lines
  • Transfusions
  • ICP evaluation
  • Hemodialysis
  • Diagnostic taps
  • Ultrasound point of care
