Overview

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Chair of Radiation Oncology to lead local strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership. This role involves guiding physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver quality patient care, while also advancing innovative practices and using clinical data to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to monitor and develop best practice guidelines based on clinical data.
  • Promote standardization of clinical processes and adoption of effective solutions.
  • Identify and advance the use of digital care technologies.
  • Develop strategic initiatives in partnership with local C-Suite and RMD.
  • Support VPMA in presenting to local hospital boards.
  • Understand national and regional trends affecting healthcare delivery.
  • Maintain a comprehensive program for coaching and leadership development.
  • Ensures compliance with laws and regulations in the healthcare domain.

Required skills

  • Board certified or eligible for certification in primary specialty
  • Licensed Practicing Provider MD/DOC
  • Experience with Epic's Electronic Medical Record System
  • Leadership and strategic planning expertise
  • Clinical research and patient care experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis and collaboration
  • Knowledge of digital health technologies
