Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Galesburg, Illinois starting in October 2026. This role involves a collaborative practice environment with a balanced mix of inpatient consults, outpatient clinic, and call coverage.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient cardiology consults and rounding
  • Manage outpatient cardiology clinic
  • Interpret stress tests and echocardiograms
  • Care for general cardiology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in 24-hour call coverage

Required skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
  • Illinois medical license or willingness to obtain
  • DEA certification
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of one year of experience
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically Epic
