Job Description

Overview

The Physical Therapist (PT) at Life Care Center of Post Falls is responsible for providing direct rehabilitation care in physical therapy to patients referred by physicians. The role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for a diverse patient population within a skilled nursing facility setting, incorporating collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients
  • Establish, assess, and modify patient goals
  • Oversee and evaluate care provided by PTAs and rehab aides
  • Chart patient progress appropriately and timely
  • Utilize therapy software accurately
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Participate in community health projects as appropriate
  • Maintain professional relationships with patients and staff

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT)
  • Current state registration/licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • One year of experience in a post-acute care or related setting preferred
  • CPR certification (must remain current)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing post-acute care
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
