Job Description

Overview

The Physical Therapist (PT) at Life Care Center of South Hill will provide direct rehabilitation care to patients referred by physicians. This role involves working within skilled nursing facilities to support diverse patient populations, helping them achieve functional progress and improve their quality of life in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients
  • Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable goals
  • Oversee and evaluate care given by PTAs and Rehab Aides
  • Chart patient progress appropriately and timely
  • Utilize therapy software accurately
  • Exhibit excellent customer service towards patients
  • Participate in community health projects as appropriate
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT)
  • Currently registered/licensed in Washington State
  • One year of experience preferred; new graduates welcome
  • CPR certification (current or obtained during orientation)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Demonstrate good body mechanics
  • Knowledgeable of healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Ability to make independent decisions when needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
