Overview

The Physical Therapist (Per Diem) at Holy Cross Hospital is responsible for developing individualized plans of care for outpatient rehab patients, focusing on pain relief, mobility enhancement, and health maintenance. This role involves working in various clinical locations to deliver hands-on therapy and rehabilitation programs tailored to patient needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop individualized plans of care for patients
  • Administer exercises, stretching maneuvers, and hands-on therapy
  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs
  • Document goals, progress, and treatment responses in patient charts
  • Evaluate treatment effects and adjust as necessary
  • Discharge patients when goals are met and provide follow-up care or referrals
  • Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures

Required skills

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Florida
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Experience in neurologic rehab and/or NCS certification
  • Geriatric Certification (GCS)
  • Vestibular experience and/or certification
  • Lymphedema Certification
  • Familiarity with government regulations for PT practice
