Job Description

Overview

Holy Cross Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to assess and develop rehabilitative programs aimed at improving patient mobility and relieving pain. This role involves administering various treatments, evaluating patient outcomes, and ensuring follow-up care aligns with health improvement goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs
  • Administer manual exercises, massage, and/or traction to relieve pain
  • Conduct research and apply findings to practice
  • Discharge patients when goals are attained and provide follow-up care
  • Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust approaches as needed
  • Document treatment progress in patient charts or systems
  • Instruct patients and families on home treatment procedures
  • Review physician's referrals and patient records for appropriate care

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Experience in Physical Therapy (new grads and experienced PTs welcome)
