Job Description

Overview

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients primarily in the Rehab hospital and LTAC hospital. The role emphasizes patient education, interdisciplinary teamwork, and clinical documentation while committing to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals served by the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial and discharge evaluations, set goals and treatment plans, and document appropriately
  • Develop treatment plans and perform optimal treatment in a timely manner to meet functional goals
  • Determine therapy educational needs and provide as needed
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Serve as a clinical instructor/mentor for interns as needed
  • Participate in hospital and discipline-specific skills checks

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Rehab, Skilled Nursing Facility, LTACH, or Acute care preferred
  • BLS certification
  • GA PT license or eligibility
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Communication skills
  • Healthcare management
