Overview

Wellstar Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist to join their team in Warm Springs, Georgia. The role focuses on the evaluation and treatment of patients in a rehab and LTAC hospital setting, emphasizing collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and ensuring optimal patient care while serving with compassion.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial and discharge evaluations
  • Set goals and create treatment plans
  • Document treatment and patient progress in the EMR
  • Educate patients, families, and staff
  • Communicate with team members and other healthcare professionals
  • Prepare equipment orders and contact vendors
  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team
  • Serve as a CI/mentor for interns as needed
  • Participate in hospital-specific skills checks

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (preferred)
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association
  • GA Physical Therapy license or eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Rehab, SNF, LTACH, or Acute settings
  • Basic computer literacy
