Stratford School, a recognized independent private school in California, is seeking a Physical Education Teacher to oversee and implement athletic programs for students from transitional kindergarten to 2nd grade. The role emphasizes fostering student development through innovative physical education and sports management, within a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative instructional lesson plans focused on co-ed sports and skill development.
  • Set up equipment for classes and ensure safety supervision at all times.
  • Assess and document students' progress in physical fitness and skills.
  • Participate in school athletic events and mentor students in need of extra help.
  • Establish positive sportsmanship methods for correcting student behavior.
  • Maintain inventory and care for physical education equipment.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and professional development activities.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
