Overview

TeamHealth is seeking a compassionate and driven physiatry physician for a part-time weekend role in Tucson, Arizona, focusing on post-acute care in skilled nursing facilities. This 2-4 weekends per month position offers the autonomy to deliver high-quality patient care along with excellent support, training, and growth opportunities within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
  • Monitor progress and coordinate care to optimize outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a team approach
  • Educate patients and families on health management and preventive strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations

Required skills

  • Current physician license (State of Arizona) and DEA
  • Experience in post-acute, acute, ED, or clinic settings preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach
