Overview

The Pharmacy Manager - Community at UnitedHealth Group is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a pharmacy in a behavioral health and addiction treatment community. This role involves managing pharmacy services, advising clinical staff, and ensuring a high level of patient care while promoting a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Create a positive consumer and clinic partner experience
  • Counsel and educate patients on medication usage and adverse effects
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Conduct wellness services like immunizations and preventative care
  • Drive financial profitability and identify growth opportunities
  • Motivate and develop pharmacy staff
  • Build relationships with the community and clinic partners
  • Promote pharmacy offerings through marketing plans
  • Review performance indicators and identify areas for improvement

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Current pharmacist's license in New Mexico
  • Certified immunizer or willingness to become certified
  • 3+ years of pharmacy leadership experience (preferred)
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
