Overview

As a Relief Pharmacy Call Center Agent at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing support and information to patients while ensuring a seamless call experience. This healthcare organization focuses on holistic patient care across various services, aiming to make a significant difference in the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing non-professional level phone inquiries and transfer calls to appropriate staff
  • Update patient demographic information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Respond to inquiries regarding business hours, delivery services, price information, and prescription status
  • Ensure successful enrollment of mail-order patients
  • Promote and educate patients on all pharmacy services, including mail order and auto-refill processes
  • Complete third-party rebilling through insurance companies for authorization
  • May perform Lead duties, managing breaks, lunches, sick calls, and overtime
  • Provide insights on employee performance and skill levels
  • Train new employees and existing staff as needed
  • Perform quality audits as directed
  • Carry out other assigned duties

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • One year of pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, patient care, call center, or customer service experience
  • Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish at a level 9
  • Knowledge of medical billing and terminology preferred
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills
  • Conflict resolution abilities and teamwork proficiency
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Multitasking capabilities and attention to detail
  • Basic 10-key proficiency
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
