Overview

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking a full-time Relief Pharmacy Call Center Agent to join their Central Fill Pharmacy team in Wapato, Washington. This role is crucial in supporting the organization’s mission of providing holistic healthcare services while addressing community health needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone inquiries and transfer calls as needed
  • Update patient demographic information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Respond to inquiries regarding business hours, delivery services, prescription status, and refill availability
  • Enroll new mail-order patients and promote pharmacy services
  • Complete the third-party rebilling process and contact insurance companies for authorizations
  • Perform Lead duties, managing breaks, lunches, and overtime
  • Provide training to new employees and existing staff when necessary
  • Conduct quality audits as directed

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in pharmacy assistant, office administration, patient care, call center, or customer service
  • Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish required at a level 9
  • Knowledge of medical billing and terminology preferred
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments with multitasking capabilities
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
