Overview

Join the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic as a Relief Pharmacy Call Center Agent, where you'll contribute to a healthcare organization dedicated to making a significant impact in the community. This role involves handling phone inquiries, updating patient records, and promoting pharmacy services at our Central Fill Pharmacy in Yakima, WA.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing non-professional level phone inquiries
  • Update patient demographic information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Respond to inquiries regarding business hours, delivery services, and prescription status
  • Ensure successful enrollment of mail-order patients
  • Promote and educate patients on pharmacy services
  • Complete third-party rebilling processes
  • Act as a liaison between staff and supervisors for lead duties
  • Manage breaks, lunches, sick calls, and overtime
  • Provide training to new and existing staff
  • Perform quality audits as directed
  • Carry out other assigned duties

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • One year of relevant experience in pharmacy assistance, call center, or customer service
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, level 9 proficiency required
  • Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
  • Knowledge of medical billing and terminology preferred
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills
  • Conflict resolution abilities and teamwork proficiency
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments and multitasking capabilities
  • Attention to detail and basic 10-key proficiency
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
