Overview

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking a Relief Pharmacy Call Center Agent in Yakima, WA, to join their dedicated team in providing comprehensive health services. This position involves handling phone inquiries, updating patient records, and promoting pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing non-professional level phone inquiries
  • Update patient demographic information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Respond to inquiries regarding business hours, prescription status, and refill availability
  • Ensure newly enrolled mail-order patients are signed up successfully
  • Educate patients on pharmacy services, including mail order process and auto-refill
  • Complete third-party rebilling process and contact insurance companies for authorization
  • Perform lead duties by managing breaks, lunches, and reporting on employee performance
  • Provide training to new employees and existing staff when needed
  • Conduct quality audits as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of pharmacy assistant, customer service, or call center experience
  • Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required at a level 9
  • Knowledge of medical billing and terminology preferred
  • Effective communication and customer relations skills
  • Conflict resolution abilities and teamwork proficiency
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and basic 10-key proficiency
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
