Overview

Shields Pharma Inc. is seeking a Pharmaceutical Senior Analyst specializing in HPLC, GC/MS, and ICP-MS to support both R&D and Quality Control analytical activities. This role involves conducting method development, validation, and analysis in compliance with GMP and regulatory guidelines, contributing to the lab's fast-paced environment focused on mental health therapeutics.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct method development and validation for assays and impurities.
  • Perform analytical testing according to established methods and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and lab reports in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Provide scientific advice and training to junior analysts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on R&D projects.
  • Ensure laboratory supplies are available and participate in audits and inspections.
  • Conduct laboratory investigations for operational issues (OOS, OOT, Deviation, etc.).

Required skills

  • Expertise in HPLC, GC/MS, ICP-MS, and LC/MS instrumentation.
  • Minimum M.Sc. with 3 years or B.Sc. with 5 years of industry experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory.
  • Strong knowledge of method development, validation, and stability studies.
  • Familiarity with USP, BP, EP methods and specifications.
  • In-depth understanding of GMP, GDP, GXP, and quality system guidelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
