MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. The Product Stewardship Specialist serves as the program manager for MITER's product stewardship activities, with primary responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing reporting obligations across regions using structured project management methodology. This includes ownership of programs such as PFAS reporting and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), ensuring accurate data collection, validation, and on-time submission while driving cross-functional alignment, managing timelines, and maintaining data integrity.Responsibilities Lead product stewardships activities, including programs such as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) reporting and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), using structured project management methodology.Manage timelines, milestones, dependencies, and cross-functional inputs to ensure accurate data collection, validation, and timely submission to regulatory authorities.Take measures to stay informed of changes and trends within the regulatory landscape and provide relevant updates to leadership as needed.Manage collection and analysis of company data to support regulatory compliance.Perform compliance analysis on potential acquisitions.Develop, implement, and maintain tracking system to manage company compliance obligations.Oversee environmental activities of all sites, working directly with environmental, health and safety team members to ensure all compliance tasks and records are maintained appropriately and operations are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.Develop and maintain compliant product labeling.Develop and maintain a vetting process for potential new raw materials to identify and address product stewardship concerns.Conduct and document information requests to material suppliers to satisfy reporting obligations.Work with site leadership teams to effectively develop and continuously improve environmental strategies to reduce possible regulatory concerns and minimize product-related environmental impacts.Respond promptly to inquiries and concerns related to product stewardship and compliance.Analyze company environmental metrics and work with cross-functional teams on initiatives to reduce environmental footprint of manufacturing operations and finished products.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business with an Environmental concentration, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Studies or a related field3-5 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory compliance, or sustainability or an equivalent combination of experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the positionExperience with PFAS reporting and/or Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)Familiarity with product stewardship regulations, lifecycle analysis, and sustainability practicesStrong project management capability including managing timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional inputsExcellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills plus demonstrated ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously with strict attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of enthusiasm and respectful customer focus, both internal and externalAbility to interface with and present information effectively to individuals with diverse backgrounds at varying levels within the organizationAbility to travel to facilities, training events and education seminarsAbility to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility and willingness to experiment and challenge traditional approaches by leveraging
