Overview

Mike Agruss Law is looking for a detail-oriented Personal Injury Prelitigation Paralegal to join their growing personal injury team in Houston, Texas. This role is key in managing new cases, maintaining documentation, and ensuring everything is prepared for settlement.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a prelitigation caseload from day one through settlement under attorney supervision
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
  • Request, organize, and review medical records, bills, and supporting case documentation
  • Draft letters of representation, insurance correspondence, and settlement-related documents
  • Track treatment progress, case deadlines, and next steps within Litify/Salesforce
  • Assist attorneys with preparing settlement demand packages and case evaluations
  • Deliver exceptional client experience through empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism

Required skills

  • 2+ years of personal injury prelitigation experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate and professional client service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign, and general legal technology tools
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
