Overview

Mike Agruss Law is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Prelitigation Personal Injury Paralegal to support its growing personal injury team in Houston, Texas. The role primarily involves managing new cases, organizing documents, and ensuring that files are complete and ready for demand.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a prelitigation caseload from day one through settlement under attorney supervision
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
  • Request, organize, and review medical records, bills, and supporting case documentation
  • Draft letters of representation, insurance correspondence, and settlement-related documents
  • Track treatment progress, case deadlines, and next steps within Litify/Salesforce
  • Assist attorneys with preparing settlement demand packages and case evaluations
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through empathy, responsiveness, and professionalism

Required skills

  • 2+ years of personal injury prelitigation experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate, professional client service
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe, DocuSign, and general legal technology tools
  • Team-oriented mindset with effective collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
