Overview

Ben Glass Law is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 3-10 years of legal experience to join their litigation team in Fairfax, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a background in litigation-focused practice areas and will be responsible for handling personal injury cases from intake to resolution, advocating for clients in various legal settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice
  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents such as motions and pleadings
  • Research case law and gather relevant evidence for cases
  • Communicate with clients, experts, and insurers to gather information
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
  • Represent clients at hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Document and update case files in the case management system
  • Prepare for trial, including depositions and pre-trial motions
  • Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
  • Active Virginia Bar license
  • Strong legal writing and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage a litigation caseload independently
  • Commitment to outstanding client service
  • Personal injury litigation experience (preferred)
  • Depositional and courtroom experience (preferred)
  • Negotiation experience with insurance carriers
  • Familiarity with case management systems like Filevine
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Westlaw
