We believe in making the hiring process easier for educators and creating better outcomes for students.As a Special Education Instructional Assistant, you'll work closely with licensed teachers to support K12 students with special needs in the classroom. Your role will focus on helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally by providing one-on-one and small group assistance tailored to their IEP goals.Responsibilities:Assisting the classroom teacher to maintain a safe learning environmentProvide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with special needs, reinforcing lessons and implementing IEPs to achieve goalsAssist in compiling classroom communications including supporting with differentiation for different childrens needsAssist with classroom management, redirecting behavior, and implementing behavior management plansFacilitate interactions between students with disabilities and their peers, teaching and modeling strategies for positive interactionUse a variety of learning methods to enhance the student learning experiences and support them as neededSupport with personal care or hygiene as needed, including toileting, feeding, and dressingRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or the equivalentExperience working with children with special educational needsExperience working with personal carePassion for working within special educationU.S. work authorization (Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time)Applicants must be professionally proficient in EnglishPhysical Requirements:Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the dayAble to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application processPreferred QualificationsPast work experience in a schoolCPR and First AidCPI TrainingSalaryPay: $22 - $26 per hour, paid weekly.Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).Benefits:Weekly payPaid Sick Leave401K (certain eligibility criteria)Don't wait, start your journey in education now, connect with a recruiter to find your perfect role.Ref:
