Job Description

Overview

The Perfusionist Lead at SSM Health in Saint Louis will lead a team in cardiovascular perfusion services, overseeing shift operations and staff. This role includes serving as a technical resource, training staff, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities and resources
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource
  • Assign, monitor, and review progress of work
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures
  • Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of staff
  • Provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance
  • May perform the duties of a perfusionist
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Graduate from a Perfusion Program
  • Two years' experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification
  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) certification
  • Perfusionist license in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and/or Wisconsin
